“Discovery”: an anthology of LGBT flash fiction
(featuring my flash fiction “The Bloodrose Venture”)
The rules are simple enough. Write a complete story—either sci fi, fantasy, or paranormal. Make sure it has LGBT characters and/or an LGBT vibe. And do it all with just 300 words.
The stories in this volume run the gamut, from platypus shifters to alien slug monsters, from carnival horror stories to haunting stories of ships with souls. There are little jokes, big surprises, and future prognostications.
What readers are saying about “Discovery”:
“… I particularly enjoyed a few offerings that were what I personally interpreted as a gateway to more, like “Salvage Rights” by Mindy Shuman, “The Black of the Night” by Pelaam, and “The Bloodrose Venture” by J.R. Frontera. Regardless, there is some serious imagination contained within these pages, and something I’m sure, to fire each individual reader’s own. And that’s what reading is all about.

The Hound of God: a novella
COMING EARLY 2016
Zakary Crowne, self-proclaimed Captain of the unnervingly advanced airship The Last Aurora, likes to think of himself as a tradesman of sorts, though most just refer to him as a pirate. When a virulent outbreak of canine distemper decimates the werewolf population worldwide, he wastes no time in obtaining the solution: a single known viable batch of distemper vaccine.
Selling the vaccine to the highest bidder will ensure that Zakary, his indomitable pilot, Lily, and his precious airship are able to retire from their nomadic life of dubious trading practices with all of their limbs –indeed, even their lives –fully intact.
What Zakary did not anticipate, however, was how this scheme to become instantly and wildly rich would throw him head-first into a tangled realm of politics and economics, betrayals and retributions, automatons and murder. Joined by Piper, a wifwolf bent on justice, and ultimately faced with a creature calling itself The Hound of God, Zakary has the opportunity to step in and save the world from a great deal more than an outbreak of distemper. But this time he’ll be the one paying instead of getting paid, and the price just might be more than he’s willing to give …
